There’s just something about a perfectly clear evening on the coast in California. Nico and Emily’s maternity session in Half Moon Bay, CA felt exactly like that… calm, glowy, and full of quiet anticipation.
We started down on the beach, where the light reflected off the water and wrapped around them in the dreamiest way. Barefoot in the sand, waves rolling in behind them, it felt simple and effortless. Just the two of them soaking in this season before everything changes in the most beautiful way.
As the sun began to dip, we made our way up to the cliffs overlooking the coastline. The view opened up, the sky turned golden, and that glow everyone hopes for showed up in full. From above, you could see the entire stretch of ocean meeting the shore, and it felt like the world paused just for them.
Maternity sessions like this are a reminder that it doesn’t have to be complicated to be meaningful. A stunning location, ever-changing light, and two people completely in it together. That’s always enough.
