Hannah & Kyle came to me through mutual friends. I had photographed their best friend’s wedding a year earlier in San Luis Obispo and they were instantly drawn to my work & the way myself and my team conducted ourselves on a wedding day. From day one – it was a match made in heaven and since then, we’ve not only celebrated their marriage, but the exciting season of their life pre-marriage. As a Monterey engagement photographer, you could either take photos along the coast or in the valley. After providing my recommendations for areas to have their photos taken, the two of them chose an old golf course with tall, swaying grass. The moody, cloudy weather added a unique touch to our shoot and from a photographer’s standpoint, the best lighting everrrrr.
Hannah and Kyle’s love and connection were so evident in our time together and the way it comes through in the photos is…well you’ll just have to see for yourself!
At the end of the photo session, we wrapped up the day with some wine and, of course, their favorite, Philz Coffee. It was a perfect way to end the evening and reflect on their relationship up to this point.
Being a destination wedding photographer means I get to travel all over the world to help document the magic in relationships of all kinds but I must say, Monterey, California is at the top of my list for one of my favorite places in the world. With Big Sur & Carmel next door and their jaw-dropping cliffs, rugged coastlines, and amazing sunsets – it’s hard to beat.
California in general is a dream for weddings and photography, with its diverse landscapes from beautiful beaches to majestic mountains and even vast deserts. So, if you’re planning an event in Monterey or anywhere else in California, consider a photographer who lives and breathes all landscapes in California. I’d be honored to capture all of the moments leading up to your wedding and then some! If you’re looking for a Monterey engagement photographer, you can contact us for pricing here.

My heart and passion for this work is summed up by the act of service. From the first wedding I ever photographed to ones years later—I’ve yet to come down from the high of being part of a couple’s best day and putting it in digital form to look back on for a lifetime. I take my craft seriously, and that means serving you in all aspects on your wedding day, and the days leading up to it.

May of 2024, I had the incredible pleasure of photographing Sarah and Richie’s intimate elopement at the historic Santa Barbara Courthouse. This beautiful venue, nestled in one of my all-time favorite cities, provided the perfect setting for their love story. With its Spanish-Moorish architecture and lush gardens, the Santa Barbara Courthouse is a stunning backdrop […]
