We met up on the beach, which for them, is practically their backyard here in this part of the Bay Area. It’s the spot they call home, and there’s something really special about shooting engagement photos in a place that already holds so much meaning for a couple.
The weather that day was absolutely perfect—and by perfect, I mean that classic, moody Alameda beach vibe. No harsh sun, just this soft, diffused light that made everything feel a bit more intimate and romantic. You know, those days where the sky just melts into the horizon? It was exactly that.
We wandered along the shoreline, just letting them do their thing. They needed some photos for their save-the-dates, and honestly, the backdrop couldn’t have been better. The way the light hit the water, the quiet texture of the sand, and just their natural connection – it all came together so beautifully.
There’s a comfort in shooting couples in a place that’s so familiar to them. It lets them truly relax, and that’s when the real magic happens. We captured a bunch of candid moments that felt genuinely them, along with some of those classic, dreamy shots that will look amazing on their save-the-dates. It was a really chill, beautiful afternoon celebrating them in the place they love.
